Cs and Ls
I'd like to take this moment to thank my CONSERVATIVE friends, for being intelligent.
I have to say, after spending the afternoon reading the garbage many of my "liberal" friends were responding to, I realized I was lucky not to have such idiotic shit to deal with.
My friends, with whom I may not align perfectly in regard to politics, are smart. Their reasoning is sound. I dig it. It helps ME, to tell you the truth... it keeps me from being a blind sheep. Their comments make me think... not get enraged.
So, while the outcome was not what they wanted, I still appreciate the facts they provided me with.
Believe it or not: I'm a liberal... who is fiscally conservative.
Whaaaa?
Yeah, so, I can be swayed...
... and this time around, I was absolutely, positively repelled by what the Republicans dished up for me. They could have won me over, but ultimately, they made a terrible decision with their candidates who had the most archaic stances on women's rights and gay rights... no way could I have agreed to vote for them.
So... like back in 2000, and 2004, can we just... hug it out? Tomorrow's another day... in which I'll once again be pissed off over how shitty some motherfuckers drive.

I always hated geometry
I was sick to my stomach all day today.
I hate election days. HATE THEM.
I tried my best to stay away from the news channels and even the internet.
I went to school, stood around waiting for my professor for over half an hour, strolled on over to get a transcript, found out I've been giving myself a lower final GPA this entire time, I killed time at Yardhouse and chewed on some fries for over half an hour... I had fro-yo and sat to people-watch... I uploaded PDF files for the first time in my life-- task that was far too difficult for me to handle without almost punching my fist through my old PC... I watched the Bad Girls Club, and I finally just played some Guitar Hero (I had been putting that shit off for far too long. I had been mentioning it all week long, I just had to sing "Shiver," "Plug in Baby," "Smells Like Teen Spirit," and "Medicate" until my sister walked in to tell me to shut the fuck up).
Then Mom and Sister ran into my room to let me know Angle lost.
I could breathe again.
Now to live my life without fear of getting marked with a taco tattoo and thrown into a detainment cell for being too brown.
I can go back to wanting to stab myself as I fill out school application forms.
Also, big shout out to the morons who voted like this chick:
Democrat straight through... if no party affiliation i went Women, or Minority, feel free to bash but its my right to say... blow off! have a nice day :)
Seriously? I don't know who I dislike more, people who think like her, or the damn Tea Party.
Way to vote for inexperienced bitches.
Keep making this country proud.

The Spaniard
Primaries are today and we're already fighting in this house.
Good ol' dad frustrates the shit out of the other four members of this household.
The lone republican.
It's not that we're all die-hard dems or anything... well, besides my brother, that guy is border-line commie... but Dad's part of the GOP because... he wants to prove he's not Mexican.
The man swears he's Spanish- not Mexican, Spanish!- aka "the classy Spanish speakers."
Sure, Dad, you're Spanish... but it was so long ago down your family line, it practically doesn't count since it was your great-grandfather who sailed to America and later shacked up with a native. I can't claim Spanish citizenship, thank you. Plus, the rest of your ancestors were Native Americans, so... slow your roll, Hernan Cortez.
He's also white... he looks "American," (I DETEST using that term for a person of the USA, while in the USA... but I won't get on my soapbox) so he turns his back on the darker Mexicans.
A misguided attempt to assimilate, if you ask me.
Love your new country, but don't hate your old one.
We fight because of the unbelievably racist shit he says when we bring up negative points of one candidate.
Me: Dad... that cunt is so uneducated, not to mention ridiculously biggoted! How the hell are you going to vote for her?
Dad: She's just doing what has to be done. Send those wetbacks back where they came from.
Me: WTF? Dad... you were a "wetback."
Dad: Correction- I walked the desert and crossed the border by TJ. I was not wet at any point. Plus, times have changed. I lucked out.
How the hell I'm related to that baseness... I do not know.

Elephant in the room
I was met by my very upset mom today.
I was having a crappy day to begin with... this only topped it off.
Mom: Did you hear about your dad?
Mom: He registered to vote.
Me: Good for him!
Me: ...

Mom: Did you hear about your dad?
Is he sick? Did the tests show he has something seriously wrong with him? Did he get in a car wreck? Is my Dad dead?! Did he file for a divorce? Are we getting sued?! Is it the IRS?!?Me: No...
Mom: He registered to vote.
Me: Good for him!
Ok... I can breathe now... I'll start feeling my head again in a couple of seconds...Mom: He's a Republican!
